About

ITB syndrome is a condition where the iliotibial band becomes painful in the area down the side of your thigh or into the outside of your knee. It is essentially a large tendon that originates from the gluteus maximus and tensor fascia latae muscles of the hip and inserts onto the outside of your knee. Pain is typically due to overuse of the tendon itself or friction where it inserts. The Heal My Injury Treatment Plan is designed to reduce the stress placed through the Iliotibial band, strengthen any weak muscles and improve the function of the hip and knee.
