About

A meniscus strain is a tear to the thick shock absorbing cartilage in your knee. There are two horseshoe shaped discs that sit on the top of your shin bone known as the medial and lateral meniscus and they can become damaged over time through wear and tear, or sudden movements that create a tear in a specific location. The meniscus typically has a poor blood supply and has poor healing ability. Therefore, if it is having a detrimental effect on function, surgery may be required. However, smaller tears can become more then manageable with the right treatment plan. The Heal My Injury Treatment Plan has been prescribed to improve the function, range of motion, and reduce pain in your knee.
