Posterior impingement

About

Posterior impingement is a condition where there is pain in the back of your ankle towards the end range of motion as you point your toes away from the body in a downward motion, known as plantar flexion. This can lead to pain, inflammation, and potential limitations in movement due to compression of the joint and associated soft tissues. The impingement could be due to functional restrictions to the ankle joint, abnormal bony deformities to the ankle, or a combination of both. The Heal My Injury Treatment Plan aims to decrease this contact by improving ankle function, mobility and reducing inflammation.
